What are Skin Tags?
A skin tag is a small piece of soft, hanging skin that may have a peduncle, or stalk. They can appear anywhere on the body, but especially where skin rubs against other skin or clothing. Skin tags are common for men and women.
What Causes Skin Tags?
Though there isn't an exact reason or cause for skin tags, the most common thing that causes skin tags to appear is the constant rubbing of skin with skin and clothing. Skin tags are mostly found in the folds on the body including under the arms, around the eyes and the neck. Skin Tags are benign and do not require treatment, however, the reason for removal of skin tags is for comfort and aesthetic reasons.
